The FVR series for medium temperatures are made with quality in mind. These units are ATEX-certified for quality and safety and are suited for use in areas where there may be a risk of explosion (Zone 2) and also with hydrocarbons.

FVR SERIES - MT - ATEX

Meeting the high standards for ATEX certification, the FVR series of semi-hermetic screw compressors for medium temperatures were borne out of an intense effort by the Frascold R&D team. Through extensive design and product testing phases, our team was able to produce a solution that keeps pace with the ever-increasing technological needs of refrigeration and cooling today. The unique construction and safety features built into these compressors allow them to be safely used with hydrocarbons and in areas classified as being at risk of explosion (Zone 2).

The FVR MT ATEX series is also made to be Variable Frequency Drive (VFD)-compatible, which allows for greater flexibility and efficiency in operation. These units are engineered to have a lower starting current compared to other compressors on the market, which serves to reduce the mechanical stresses put on internal components.

Straightforward Installation and Maintenance

Advancements such as a new piping discharge line, positioning of the oil injection port, and the displacement of the endplate on the side of the units all serve to provide simpler and easier access for maintenance.

Compressors in the series are ATEX-certified for use in “Category 3” (Zone 2 - areas classified as potentially explosive) and “G” (also for use in a potentially explosive area due to gasses being present).
