Reciprocating ATEX SERIES - HC

The Reciprocating ATEX Series – HC is made for using energy-efficient hydrocarbon (HC) refrigerants and in areas classified as at risk of explosion (Zone 2). The models in this series work well in tandem with inverters and are designed to maximize energy efficiency and energy savings. Meeting the high bar for ATEX certification is no easy feat. Our team accomplished this through fanatical attention to quality at every stage of design and manufacture. Each unit will be tested and retested in our quality assurance labs to ensure each performs up to Frascold’s own high standards.

The D, Q, S, V, Z, and W models are all designed for compatibility with Frascold’s state-of-the-art capacity control RSH head. This advancement optimizes the cooling system design to reduce energy consumption and ensure greater operating safety over long periods of time.

Within this series, the D, Q, S, V, Z, and W models are made to use with the revolutionary RSH head designed by Frascold. Capacity modulation is delivered through the exclusive RSH system by blocking the suction of the heads and using an inverter within the system.

Enhanced Protection

Patented Diagnose technology is an advanced protection, diagnostic and preventive maintenance system built right into these systems. The Diagnose protection system offers functional diagnosis and optimization for both the compressor and individual systems, as well. This state-of-the-art tool allows for properly monitoring the reliability of the cooling system, creating greater efficiencies and reducing future management and maintenance costs.

Simpler Risk Analysis Process

The sheer number of ATEX-certified Frascold reciprocating compressors allows a simplified risk analysis to be performed which is required in many different applications. Our process leads to a safe design through every project phase including construction, installation, and operation. Compressors in the series are ATEX-certified for use in Category 3 (Zone 2 - areas classified as potentially explosive) and also G (potentially explosive area due to gas).

Frascold - Air conditioning system - KFC

KFC chooses Frascold reciprocating compressors

KFC has chosen FRASCOLD reciprocating compressors for the air conditioning system of its dining room restaurant in Seven Hills (Australia). For the installation of the conditioning system, KFC used two FRASCOLD reciprocating compressors of 15 kw, and the refrigerant used is an eco-friendly choice: hydrocarbons mixture, mainly composed of propane (R290).
